Antique Decor
Rounding out the heart of their home? The hutch Paul crafted for his wife's birthday and a farm table that once served as his desk. The master bedroom dresser, a relic from Donna's childhood, underscores the point: Personal ties trump period accuracy.

Master Bathroom
Antique tables store towels and toiletries in the master bathroom. Donna bought the shaving mirror at Rural Residence in Hudson, New York. The walls are painted Simply White by Benjamin Moore.
Bright idea: A trifold shaving mirror and narrow wire shelf take the place of a medicine cabinet.
Powder Room
Pages from a reprint of Cabinet of Natural Curiosities cover the powder room.
The Franks
"The man who built our home is buried across the street," says Paul. "We own this house now, but eventually, it'll belong to someone else. Living with history provides a feeling of continuity. It puts things in perspective."
