Open Kitchen Cabinets
Knotty-pine cabinets were replaced with more original storage strategies, like a custom-made cupboard and plate rack. With lots of white subway tile, soapstone countertops, and a bold yellow stove, the formerly dreary space feels old and new all at the same time.
Cabinets Instead of claustrophobia-inducing wall-to-wall cabinetry, Vreeland installed two open upper storage units--a plate rack and a glass-fronted cupboard. The lower cabinets, with solid doors, offer hidden storage.
